Honey & Bee Fete - Jeevika

Sunday, 9th July 2017. 12:00 pm

For National Don’t Step on a Bee Day Jeevika is holding a fête on 9th July, celebrating India, bees and honey.

The venue is The Glass House, Barge Walk, Hampton Wick KT1 4AB. Barge Walk runs round along the river from Kingston Bridge (Hampton Wick end – because there is another ‘Barge Walk’ on the Kingston side) to Hampton Court

Bike/pedestrian access preferred. The Glass House is a Seven minutes riverside walk from Kingston Bridge: vehicle access via bollard by prior arrangement only.

Our family-friendly event will highlight how impoverished women in rural India are empowered through bee keeping. A Twickenham bee keeper will provide fascinating insights into their craft. Other attractions and sweet delights include:

Honey-soaked Indian sweets for snacking
Indian food
Honey-infused punches, honey tea, honey milkshakes and other bee-utiful beverages
Crafts for kids, including making a ‘bee & bee’ nesting site
Bee and honey-themed beauty products, candles etc to buy A honey-themed raffle
Bee-attracting garden plants for sale
Bee face-painting for kids

So bring your family and friends to join Jeevika Trust at our Indian Honey Fete – you’ll have a sweet time!

Entry: Adult £2; child free.
