Iain Burgess raises the trophy for the victorious team: Cedrus libani
A sell-out for our Fish & Chip Quiz Night evening. It might have been the first such event held since June 2017 but it was every bit as enjoyable. Seven teams competed for the coveted Hampton Wick Milk Bottle trophy.
Quizmaster David Rees yet again entertained and flummmoxed in equal measure. Seven rounds of fiendishly tricky questions had the teams scratching their heads.
The evening started at 7pm as teams settled down, thought of team names, chose refreshments from the bar and in great anticipation bought their raffle tickets.
By 8:30pm the questions had all been asked, another chance to buy raffle tickets and then the fish and chips arrived. Teddington Fish Bar did us proud once more.
On to the answers and then the totting up. The winners were Cedrus libani who won by a very clear margin with a score of 28/35. Well done to them. Other team names included The Wick Witches, It’s not at the Cricket Club and The Dandy Burdocks.

Next year we hope to be returning to an all new and refurbished Bullen Hall (aka Hampton Wick Village Hall) following the recent successful funding bid – watch this space.
