Library - temporary closure for re-wiring
Friday 15th October 2021

The good news: As part of the ongoing refurbishments to Bullen Hall and the Library, the council is also investing in a new fire and intruder alarm system for the entire facility.
The less good news: to minimise disruption, the Library needs to close from 18th October for four weeks so that contractors can re-wire the entire building, fit new sensors, test and commission the system.
Book lending periods will be extended to reflect the closure
This also represents your last chance to view the fabulous Friends’ photography exhibition featuring dogs and literary quotes
===========================
We are now nearing the end of the somewhat protracted improvements programme to Bullen Hall and the Library which started back in March.
The Hampton Wick Association and the Friends of Hampton Wick Library raised funding to expand and modernise the shared kitchen to allow the Library to remain open at lunchtimes; to modernise Bullen Hall (broadband, audio-visual equipment; furniture etc) and to renovate the shared area including toilets and storage space.

We hope the entire project will be completed not too long after the rewiring work is finished – watch this space.
