Infamous BT phone box finally removed

The Hampton Wick Association, assissted in recent times by local councillors and Richmond council officers, has been lobbying for many years to have the redundant phone box in the village centre removed.

For a long time its primary purpose had been as a mini drug den rather than as a phone box, the handset having long ago been removed. It was an eyesore too, displaying poster adverts in the centre of our village.

Thanks to all involved in helping to get it removed.
