Kingston Bridge House Update
Tuesday 28th April 2026
Kingston Bridge House
With the planning application for the latest proposals for Kingston Bridge House (KBH) still being considered by Richmond Council, we thought it timely to reiterate the views of the Hampton Wick Association on these latest proposals.
1. We are in favour of a hotel, especially if an upmarket hotel such as the proposed IHG’s five star Indigo brand. The signage must respect the conservation area and its prominent position / location.
2. We are concerned about the low level of car parking provision for hotel residents and the impact of this on street parking for existing Hampton Wick residents.
3. We are disappointed at the complete lack of ‘affordable’ accommodation in this proposal.
4. We would prefer development to go ahead as soon as reasonably possible. The homes, jobs (that a hotel would bring) and boost to the High Street would be very wlecome. We don’t want to see the building covered in a massive sheet of torn polythene for ever! However, due (planning) process must of course be allowed to happen.
5. We are firmly against any proposal that would see extra height added to what is already an excessively tall building.
