August HWA Business Spotlight - The Jolly Barber

Thursday 20th August 2026

August HWA Business Spotlight - The Jolly Barber

This month we’re shining a spotlight on Trevor, the owner of The Jolly Barber, who has been part of the Hampton Wick community since opening his shop here in 2007.

Originally from Ireland, Trevor has been cutting hair for over 30 years and says the best part of the job is the people. The vast majority of his clients are regulars, a real testament to the friendly, personal service he’s known for.

When he’s not behind the barber’s chair, Trevor is creating abstract paintings. Earlier this year, he opened Kirkwood Gallery in the same shop to showcase his artwork, turning a lifelong passion into a second creative venture. He’s also looking to showcase the work of other local artists on the gallery walls, so if you an artist looking for a space to exhibit your work, do pop in and say hello!

Did you know? The name Kirkwood Gallery is a nod to the building’s history; it was home to Kirkwood Coffee Roasters back in 1926. A lovely way to honour a little piece of Hampton Wick’s past.

If you’re passing by, pop in to say hello, book a trim, or take a look at Trevor’s latest artwork. Supporting local businesses helps keep Hampton Wick thriving!
